"I have the skills to run my business"
Joan, an alumni of the CFSK Institute via the Digi-Truck is a business lady and a university student pursuing a diploma in hotel management and catering. This ambitious lady is a resident of Mlolongo and a beneficiary to the courses offered by CFSK- institute on entrepreneurship and ICT.
She has an online business through which she sells beautiful carpets and other decor material. "Someone was editing for me the prices for each item to be sold. Now that I have the skills I can edit anything in my carpet photos..." she explains.
Joan is one of the very first students to learn via the Digi-Truck in Mlolongo in the August/ September chapter this year.

The aim of the Digi-Truck project is not only to transfer knowledge and skills but also to inspire the women and youth to advance in the way they handle/ manage their businesses. We also aim at empowering the society to run sustainable businesses, be employable, and cope in the digital age.
"Since I have acquired IT skills by the help of CFSK, I'm
thinking of starting another business in line with my profession... I have always wanted to start a fast
food restaurant but I didn't know how I will be able to use a computer in
billing all the sales I make in a day,and also making some flyers for
advertisements, but now since I got the IT skills, I can do anything using my laptop
and design the best flyers also accounting for each day sales well.."
